Our focus is to provide your children with an excellent Islamic education, irrespective of race or culture; to nurture British Muslims so that they are proud and confident in their faith so that they become ambassadors of the religion, who contribute to their community.
Al Qalam Academy uses Safar Qa’idah. Progression is based on a 7-level system that we have devised so that progression is monitored and handled correctly. Upon completion of the Qa’idah, students progress to Juz ʿAmma and thereafter, the Qurʿān.
A heavy emphasis is placed on the correct recitation of the Qurʿān so children are tested regularly on the Tajweed rules. Alongside this, children memorise Kalimaat, Salah, Surahs & Du’aas.
We use ‘An Nasihah Publications’ for our Islamic studies which covers Fiqh, Hadith, Seerah, Taareekh, Aqaa’id, Akhlaaq & Aadaab.
We also facilitate for anybody interested in Hifz, so if you are interested please refer to the ‘Hifz pre-admission guidelines’ available in the office.
Our Islamic education is extremely well structured and our comprehensive curriculum is followed by mid & end of year exams.
Our Madrasah runs in two sessions
First Session: 4.30pm – 6.00pm
Second Session 6.10pm – 7.40pm.
We provide education for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16 in our Masjid.
