Children Weekday Madrasah (Qalam Academy)

🌱 Our Vision

Our focus is to provide children with an excellent Islamic education, irrespective of race or culture — nurturing confident British Muslims who are proud of their faith and who become ambassadors of Islam, contributing positively to their community.

📚 Curriculum Overview

Qur’an Studies:
Qalam Academy uses the Safar Qa’idah, following a structured 7-level progression system to ensure steady and monitored development.

• Upon completing the Qa’idah, students progress to Juz ʿAmma and thereafter to the Qur’an.
• A strong emphasis is placed on correct recitation and Tajweed — children are regularly tested to ensure accuracy.
• Students also memorise Kalimaat, Salah, Surahs, and Duʿaas.

Islamic Studies:
We use An Nasihah Publications, covering:

Fiqh • Hadith • Seerah • Taareekh • Aqaa’id • Akhlaaq • Aadaab

Hifz Programme:
We also accommodate students interested in Hifz.
Please refer to the Hifz Pre-admission Guidelines available in the office for more information.

Assessment:
Our Islamic education is well structured — students sit mid-year and end-of-year exams to monitor progress.

🕓 Madrasah Timings

The Madrasah operates two weekday sessions:

• First Session: 4:25 PM – 5:55 PM
• Second Session: 6:05 PM – 7:35 PM

Parents must ensure punctual drop-off and pick-up from the Masjid.
